What should I do if I am injured?
If you believe that the carelessness or negligent act of another may have caused your injury, call us as soon as it is convenient for you to do so. Avoid discussing the matter with strangers and/or insurance company representatives. You should, of course, be cooperative with the police, your own treating physicians, and representatives from your own insurance company. However, call us early and we will help you through this difficult process.
What are my attorney fees?
Attorney fees in personal injury cases are based on a percentage of any amounts recovered and are contingent on your receiving a court or jury award, or settlement. At James R. Omer & Associate s, we will discuss this with you at the first meeting and will provide you with a written contract so that you will be comfortable knowing what the fee arrangement with us will be. We do not receive any fee if you do not receive a recovery.
